What is an identified contact?

An "identified" contact is a contact that Tend has associated with someone's email address.

Typically, contacts are identified through a form field through a contact form, signup process, shopping cart or login.

Contacts may also be identified by:

1. AutoID - Associates visits with a contact's email address by appending an email address to a URL the contact visited on your site.
2. TendID - Associates visits with contact data from an outside source (like your website or a third-party)
3. Tend's API - Associates visits with contact data via Tend's API
